Current Projects

We are currently working with Kingsholm Primary School on a variety of projects.

We recently provided funding to support the provision of specialist speech and language therapy, one element of the school’s whole system approach, which comprises three levels of intervention: universal, targeted and specialist. The ability of a child to understand language and communicate effectively is a fundamental underpin to their education, or a fundamental barrier if it is absent or compromised. Further, without these skills, children can suffer from isolation and physical behavioural issues.

Past Projects

Upgraded Performance Space
Kingsholm Primary (2023/24)

In 2023, we provided the final tranche of funding required by the School to complete a substantial renovation of its performance space.  The work, which was completed in 2024, included the provision of a new stage, lighting, and sound system.

Lucinda Field, Pupil and Family Enrichment Manager at the School, said: “The improved facilities have provided teachers with a far more versatile and professional environment for assemblies, performances, presentations, and whole-school events.”

Ms Field added that the upgraded space had supported the pupils' “sense of achievement and belonging” and “strengthened the school’s culture of celebration and achievement, enabling us to demonstrate individual children's talents”.

Curriculum Support
Kingsholm Primary (2023/24)

In 2023, we provided funding to support the School’s digital strategy by providing funding for new tablets.

Lucinda Field, Pupil and Family Enrichment Manager at the School, said that the provision of the tablets had made it easy to for teachers and pupils to use interactive resources such as videos, images, and apps, “helping lessons come to life and keeping pupils more engaged”.

Ms Field added that teachers were now able to access resources, take notes, and assess work all in one place, saving time and allowing them to focus more on teaching and meeting individual pupil needs.

Music Showcase
Kingsholm Primary (2022)

In 2022, we funded the provision of extra-curricular music lessons during the summer term.  The lessons ranged from tuition in basic responses and movement to music for pre-schoolers and reception classes, to drumming workshops, violin lessons and beat box sessions for years one to six.  The aim of the project was to expose children to a wide variety of musical styles, while developing their musical skills.  At the end of the term, the school held mini music festivals on site. Children were invited to attend, given wristbands, and local musicians performed.
